The short version. You can play without an account and without giving us anything about you. If you sign in, we keep your email so you can get your progress back. We count how the game is played in totals only, with no trackers, no advertising profiles and no selling of data. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.

What we don't collect

On your device

The game keeps your settings (sound, graphics, controls, route guide), your chosen look and city, a sign-in token, and a small queue of unsent feedback in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Who helps us run the game

These services process data for us, only to run the game:

Because some of these services are outside Nigeria, your data may be stored abroad. We only use them to run the game.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Under Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@owostreet.app from the address you signed in with (or tell us your in-game name and player code) and we'll reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Children

Owo Street is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you think a child has signed up, email us and we'll delete the account.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll say so in the game. The date at the top shows the latest version.
